Northern Cape

The Northern Cape Province is the largest and most sparsely populated province of South Africa.  The Orange River flows through the province, forming the borders with the Free State in the south-east and with Namibia to the north-west.

The planting of potatoes for seed production in the region is mostly around the town Douglas and planting start in January and ends in February to be harvested in June up to September.
